Ozark nonprofit Least of These Inc., the operator of a Christian County food pantry, named Kristy Carter its interim executive director.
Carter takes over for Bonnie Schooler, the nonprofit’s four-year leader who resigned due to a family illness, according to a news release. Carter has been director of development of Least of These for nearly five years.
“I’m so grateful that I get to continue to build on what Bonnie has done for our organization,” Carter said in the release. “She has definitely laid the groundwork to provide healthy food options for our hungry neighbors in need, and it is my goal to continue to build on that solid foundation.”
Carter said via email the three-employee nonprofit has a 2020 operational budget of $750,000. The food pantry serves 2,300 people per month, according to the release.
Under Schooler’s leadership, the nonprofit moved in the past couple years to Ozark from Nixa, according to KY3.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
