A company in business for nearly four decades is under new ownership.

Ozark Mountain Gymnastics has been acquired for undisclosed terms by a new ownership group called Ozark Mountain Gymnastics LLC, said Jeremy Brokate, who, with his wife, DeeDee, is representing the group.

The ownership change of the 2910 S. Fort Ave. business was announced in a news release. Former owners Mary Jo and Johnny Williams intend to focus on their real estate and political careers, respectively.

The Brokates have been involved with the gym as parents of competitive gymnast daughter Maddox. Jeremy Brokate also is CEO of Brokate Janitorial LLC.

"Jeremy and DeeDee Brokate have witnessed the world of gymnastics through the parent lens the past seven years and are excited to step into the business side," officials said in the release. "Even more than the joy that came from watching their daughter progress from rec to competitive gymnastics, the new owners hope to build on the family atmosphere that focuses on building strength and confidence in the next generation of children."

Brokate said his OMG Property LLC separately purchased the nearly 15,000-square-foot gym property, near the intersection of Fort Avenue and Battlefield Road.

Founded in 1988 by Jeff and Julie Maynard, Ozark Mountain Gymnastics was first located along South Campbell Avenue, and the land on Fort Avenue was purchased in 1993, according to the release. Mary Jo Williams, daughter of the Maynards, and Johnny Williams purchased the business in 2012.
