As the release of its quarterly earnings report draws near, O’Reilly Automotive Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ORLY) stock hit a new 52-week high.

The figure, $767.48 per share posted this morning, also is an all-time high for the company. The company's previous 52-week and all-time high of $750.88 was set Aug. 16, according to past reporting.

The Springfield-based auto parts retailer's third-quarter financial report is scheduled for release on Oct. 26.

The stock-price record comes after O’Reilly Automotive shares rose from $600 to $700 over five months late last year, according to past reporting.

Similar to today's stock increase, ORLY shares hit a 52-week high in April ahead of the company's first-quarter earnings report. However, the $750.88 per share high came after the second-quarter results were announced July 27.

In the second quarter, O'Reilly Automotive's profits dipped 1.5% to $576.8 million, according to past reporting. Revenue during the quarter was $3.7 billion, a 6% increase.
