As the release of its quarterly earnings report draws near, O’Reilly Automotive Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ORLY) stock hit a new 52-week high.
The figure, $767.48 per share posted this morning, also is an all-time high for the company. The company's previous 52-week and all-time high of $750.88 was set Aug. 16, according to past reporting.
The Springfield-based auto parts retailer's third-quarter financial report is scheduled for release on Oct. 26.
The stock-price record comes after O’Reilly Automotive shares rose from $600 to $700 over five months late last year, according to past reporting.
Similar to today's stock increase, ORLY shares hit a 52-week high in April ahead of the company's first-quarter earnings report. However, the $750.88 per share high came after the second-quarter results were announced July 27.
In the second quarter, O'Reilly Automotive's profits dipped 1.5% to $576.8 million, according to past reporting. Revenue during the quarter was $3.7 billion, a 6% increase.
A pair of area medical colleges that received state grant funding in the fall are now investing the funds toward technology and new programs with the intent of attracting more students to the nursing profession.
