O'Reilly family donates to tiny-home development

Posted online

Tiny-home development Elevate Community has a new benefactor in the O'Reilly family.

Brothers Charlie, David and Larry O'Reilly and sister Rosalie O'Reilly Wooten provided $35,000 to sponsor a home at the nonprofit Elevate Branson's development, according to a news release.

"Providing not only housing but other tools to help someone get back on their feet is a wonderful gift," Larry O'Reilly said in the release. "Our family has adopted this philosophy for generations, and Elevate Branson does a great job in fulfilling this need."

The total cost for the planned 48-unit development is $7 million-$8 million, and organizers received a $1.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant program earlier this year, Springfield Business Journal previously reported.

Elevate Community's 24-home Phase I is slated to open by summer 2022. The second phase, also 24 homes, is targeted for completion in spring 2023, co-founder Bryan Stallings said earlier this year.

Elevate Community serves those with a fixed income living at or below the poverty line, according to past reporting.
