Ziegler BBQ Co.
After periodically offering catering services for a couple years, Ziegler BBQ Co. opened a food trailer on Oct. 26. The mobile eatery is in the parking of car dealership Aristocrat Autosports LLC, 408 E. Kearney St. Owner Jake Ziegler said he invested roughly $20,000 in startup costs for the trailer, noting he had to significantly overhaul it from its prior use as a mobile automobile detailing shop. Ziegler currently is the lone employee of his company but added his relationship partner, Eletha Thompson, helps frequently. He said some of her family owns Artistocrat Autosports and is allowing him to operate the trailer there rent free. Ziegler said he plans to stay parked where he is for the rest of the year but hopes to travel to other sites and community events next year. The eatery’s menu includes pulled pork, sliced brisket and quarter chickens, along with sides such as butcher block beans, garlic dill pickles and loaded potato salad. Meal prices range $10-$18. Meats also are sold by the pound upon request.

Branson Bank
Sept. 23 marked the soft opening for the newest branch for Branson Bank. The 3,200-square-foot project at 17035 State Highway 13 in Branson West is its fifth full-service branch – all of which are in Taney and Stone counties, according to bank officials. The new branch replaces a temporary facility on the site that opened in 2023. The bank broke ground in October 2023 on the project, which Lyndi Carnelison, marketing officer, said was an investment of $3.5 million. Carnelison said vice president and commercial lender Eric Simkins leads the seven-employee branch staff. Federal Construction Inc. was the project manager, and officials say the branch design was modeled after the bank’s main location at 1501 State Highway 248 in Branson. Aside from its newest branch, Branson Bank has three locations in Branson and one in Forsyth, according to its website.
