OCH Evergreen Walk-In Clinic
Health care access expanded in north Springfield on Dec. 16 with Ozarks Community Hospital’s addition of a walk-in clinic. OCH Evergreen Walk-In Clinic, 1540 E. Evergreen St., is adjacent to the hospital’s pain management clinic, said OCH spokesman Mark Scott. The clinic offers patients medical care on a first-come, first-served basis. Scott said eight staff members, led by Administrator Bernadette Losh, treat colds, flu, allergies, rashes and body aches, as well as injuries, including strains, sprains, lacerations and minor burns. Preventive health care also is provided, including physicals, flu shots and tetanus vaccines. Scott said OCH’s in-house facilities management team handled the roughly $20,000 renovation of the 29,000-square-foot space, which was formerly used for outpatient physical and occupational therapy. The Gravette, Arkansas-based OCH Health System also operates a northwest Arkansas hospital and over a dozen clinics in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
