Open for Business: Inner Circle Vodka Bar

Posted online

Inner Circle Vodka Bar
Downtown Springfield gained a new concept with the June 2 opening of Inner Circle Vodka Bar at 319 W. Walnut St. It’s the second vodka bar for co-owners Andy Cagle and Jacob Harper, who five years ago launched the business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They purchased the Walnut Street property in 2019 from Shawn Gott, who operated 319 Downtown Event Center in the space. The building was listed at $850,000, but Cagle declined to disclose the purchase price or startup costs. Inner Circle Vodka Bar comprises roughly 5,500 square feet of indoor space and 3,200 square feet for an outdoor patio. Vodka drinks on the menu include a strawberry lemonade and melon chiller, and house-infused cocktails, beer and wine, also are available, with prices in the $6-$7 range per glass. Shareable food items, such as toasted ravioli and cashew chicken bowls, are priced $4-$9. The venue was delayed from a March 19 opening due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Main St. Owner Hannah Fisher’s second store sells a mix of Western and bohemian-style clothing, purses, jewelry, home decor and antique furniture. A 2016 Southwest Baptist University graduate, Fisher has lived in Bolivar since 2013 and spent around $15,000 in startup costs for the new shop. She also rents booths to several vendors, who stock items at the 2,200-square-foot boutique. Fisher said booths range $150-$200 per month. She’s on a month-to-month lease with landlord Carol Bullard for an undisclosed rate. Fisher’s mother, Vanessa Johnson, runs the Ava store, with help from friend Levie Patterson. Aside from the boutiques, Fisher also works full time as a social worker for the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division.
