Hood-Rich Inc.
Longtime Springfield architecture firm Hood-Rich Inc. relocated to 1722 S. Luster Ave. on Sept. 30. Formerly downtown at 400 South Ave., Ste. 300, Hood-Rich moved to the first floor on the north end of the new TelComm Credit Union’s operations center. The firm served as architect and interior designer of the operations center and its 4,100-square-foot space in the building. Associate Principal Ryan Phillips declined to disclose relocation costs or lease terms with TelComm. Hood-Rich officials say relocating to the new space offers the firm opportunity to grow while providing a modern and collaborative work environment for its 14-employee team. Principal architects for the 1963-established firm are Billy Kimmons, Josh Livingston and Larry Parke, according to its website. Some of its recent Queen City projects include mixed-use development The Creek, Great Southern Bank Express Center and a shop for Trailer Perk Coffee LLC.

Citizens Memorial Hospital
In a deal that went into effect Dec. 1, Citizens Memorial Hospital signed a two-store pharmacy acquisition with El Dorado Springs-based Evans Drugs. CMH officials did not disclose terms of the deal, in which the Bolivar-based health care provider took over operations of a pharmacy apiece in Bolivar and Buffalo. Through the deal, the 315 S. Ash St. store in Buffalo was renamed CMH Buffalo Community Pharmacy, while the Bolivar location in Woods Supermarket closed Nov. 26 and consolidated operations into Stephens Pharmacy at CMH, 1100 S. Springfield Ave. CMH has an existing medical equipment store next door to the Buffalo pharmacy. With the acquisition closed, CMH now has retail pharmacies in Bolivar, Buffalo and Urbana, the latter of which is a telepharmacy location. CMH also has a hospital pharmacy and a senior pharmacy that serves residents of long-term care facilities. Officials say Evans Drugs continues to have pharmacies in El Dorado Springs, Kirksville, Lockwood, Nevada, Osceola, Stockton and Sunrise Beach.

Multipli Credit Union
A merger closed July 10 between Jefferson City-based River Region Credit Union and Springfield-based Multipli Credit Union. Rick Nichols is CEO of the combined company, although Judy Hadsall remains president of Multipli through the end of this year, after which she intends to retire, officials say. Nichols said members of the two organizations were able to utilize products and branches of both River Region and Multipli by Labor Day weekend. No money changed hands in the deal, according to officials. The organizations’ names currently remain the same, Nichols said, noting the combined board of directors for River Ridge and Multipli have the option to consider a future change. The combined credit union has 150 employees and 43,000 members, with roughly 11,000 members coming from Multipli, Nichols said. As of the end of September, it had combined assets of $705 million and $615 million in deposits, he said. Nichols said the company has purchased land in Republic for what initially is being planned as a fourth Multipli branch in 2025.
