Dillard’s
A July 31 grand opening was held by Little Rock, Arkansas-based Dillard’s Inc. (NYSE: DDS) to mark its consolidated retail presence at Battlefield Mall, 2825 S. Glenstone Ave. The new 180,000-square-foot Dillard’s store takes the place of Sears, which closed in 2020, and replaces the company’s two former spaces totaling over 200,000 square feet in Battlefield Mall on the north and southeast sides of the shopping center. Dillard’s now owns the former Sears space, on the far west side of the mall. Greene County assessor and recorder filings show Higbee Investco LLC, which is tied to Dillard’s, bought the nearly 13-acre portion of the retail center in May 2024 from TF Springfield MO LLC. A note amount related to the real estate purchase is not on file with the Greene County recorder’s office. Assistant Manager Jonathan Carmona said Dillard’s has 154 employees at the mall, with plans to increase the workforce to 165. New brands offered at the store include Hugo Boss, Pandora and Southern Living Design House, officials say.

Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck Bar & Grill
A family of Branson-area restaurateurs launched their latest venture with the July 1 opening of Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck Bar & Grill in Kimberling City. Craig W. Martinosky Sr. said he is the namesake of the restaurant at 11863 State Highway 13, Ste. 26, which is also owned by his sons, Craig Martinosky II and Jesse Martinosky. He said the family owns the newly constructed 7,000-square-foot building, declining to disclose startup costs. The eatery, which is located by the Kimberling City bridge on Table Rock Lake, joins the family’s sister restaurants in Branson: Crazy Craig’s Cheeky Monkey Bar, Crazy Craig’s Sports Bar & Grill and Crazy Craig’s Treehouse. Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck Bar & Grill, which Craig Martinosky Sr. said employs 82, serves a menu including burgers, sandwiches, seafood and steaks. Dishes include crawfish etouffee, frog legs, ribeye and a shrimp boil with sausage, potatoes and corn. Entrees range $16-$37. He said the restaurant also hosts live music several nights a week.

Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce
For the second time in as many years, the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce has relocated its office. As of June 30, the chamber now operates out of 1,200 square feet at 222 S. Crittenden St., Ste. A, said Rachel Andrews, the organization’s executive director. It previously was located at Hidden Waters Nature Park, 720 W. Hubble Drive, where it moved in 2023. Andrews said the chamber desired to be in the heart of the business district, which led to the move at the corner of South Crittenden Street and East Jackson Street. Relocation costs were around $1,000, she said, adding the chamber signed a five-year lease with an additional five-year option. Andrews said the lease also includes a first right of refusal to purchase the property if the owner decides to sell. James and Martha Myers are listed as the building owners, according to Webster County assessor records. Andrews said the chamber has grown to a current membership of 232 from 140 members in 2023.
