Cornerstone Fine Jewelry
After nearly 30 years near Battlefield Mall, Cornerstone Fine Jewelry moved April 1 to 2522 S. Campbell Ave. in the Old Town Center. Billy Smith, who co-owns the jewelry shop with his wife, Luisa, said Cornerstone occupied 1,400 square feet at 2821 S. Glenstone Ave. since 1996. The move more than tripled the shop’s space to 5,000 square feet, he said, adding the relocation and renovation costs were $35,000. Smith said he and his wife signed a five-year lease with two additional five-year options with Old Town Center LLC. The 11-employee business was able to expand its inventory and create an in-house watch repair area to handle work on luxury brands such as Rolex, while providing more space for staff, including its hand engraver and custom jeweler. Additionally, he said local artist Shannon Joy painted a pair of murals for the store. Originally opened in 1986, Cornerstone products include engagement rings, wedding bands, bracelets, diamond earrings and necklaces.

Teddy Morse’s Renegade Harley-Davidson
In an acquisition that became effective Sept. 4, Springfield’s Harley-Davidson dealership came under new ownership. The Ed Morse Automotive Group, which is based in Delray Beach, Florida, purchased Renegade Harley-Davidson at 3980 W. Sunshine St. from H&H Automotive LLC for undisclosed terms. The dealership has rebranded as Teddy Morse’s Renegade Harley-Davidson. The transaction grows Ed Morse Automotive Group to 57 dealership locations with more than 2,800 employees nationwide. It’s the company’s 10th location in Missouri, including stores in Rolla, Lebanon, Saint Robert, California and Moberly. There were no employment changes as a result of the acquisition, said Glen Calder with Summit Advertising, on behalf of Teddy Morse’s Renegade Harley-Davidson. Calder said manager Nic Lowther leads the 36-employee, 47,000-square-foot dealership. The deal also marks Ed Morse Automotive Group’s sixth Harley-Davidson dealership. The Springfield store is the only Harley-Davidson dealership listed in the Queen City on the company website.

7 Brew Coffee
The newest 7 Brew Coffee shop in Springfield launched Sept. 16 near Battlefield Mall. At 1521 E. Battlefield Road, the seventh 7 Brew in the Queen City is in the parking lot of Gabe’s, a discount retail chain, and adjacent to Great Southern Bank. Creative Modular Construction LLC was general contractor on the project, which was designed by architecture firm Kinetic Design and Development LLC. Brothers Chris and Brandon Sebald and friend Larry Wilson are company franchisees via Brew Crew LLC. Brandon Sebald said startup costs were roughly $1 million for the 510-square-foot coffee stand, which employs a staff of around 50. He noted the Arkansas-based franchisee operates 33 locations across Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. Among plans to open more 7 Brew shops in the Springfield area over the next couple years, he said the franchisee looks to launch a location in Republic by second quarter of 2025. According to its website, 7 Brew now has 274 shops in 30 states.
