Arvest Bank
The first downtown Springfield branch for Arvest Bank opened March 1 at Brewery District Flats, 535 W. Walnut St. Chandler Johnston, marketing specialist for Arvest in Springfield, declined to disclose startup costs and lease terms with 5999 LLC for the 1,800-square-foot site. She said Mikala England, branch sales manager, leads a four-employee staff at Arvest’s newest location, which is its sixth in the Queen City. Its downtown branch doesn’t have a drive-thru, but its services include checking and savings accounts, auto, business, mortgage and home equity loans, credit cards and treasury management. Spirit of Healing Wellness Center
A longtime licensed massage therapist became a first-time business owner with the Feb. 6 launch of Spirit of Healing Wellness Center LLC. Britney Clark-Hilburn, who has 13 years of experience in massage therapy, said she leads a staff of five at her new venture at 3827 S. Timbercreek Ave., Ste. B. Startup costs were $25,000, Clark-Hilburn said, adding she signed a three-year lease for an undisclosed rate with landlords Travis and Laurie Miller. She said the 2,300-square-foot space near James River Freeway was formerly occupied by 417 Housecalls LLC, which moved. Spirit of Healing’s massage services include Swedish relaxation, prenatal, hot stone, therapeutic and deep tissue. Prices start at $50 for a 30-minute session. Other services at the wellness center include body contouring, intramuscular injections, IV infusions, foot detox therapy and lash extensions.

7 Brew Coffee
Fayetteville, Arkansas-based 7 Brew Coffee opened its fourth shop in Springfield on May 15. The 7 Brew at 333 S. Western Ave. is near the intersection of Chestnut Expressway and West Bypass. It marks the fifth shop in the Ozarks for brothers Chris and Brandon Sebald and friend Larry Wilson, who are company franchisees via Brew Crew LLC. Brandon Sebald said the owners wanted its newest 510-square-foot coffee stand to serve northwest Springfield, as well as draw in those traveling into town from the west. He said Makenzie Lester manages the 45-employee stand, declining to disclose startup costs. The shop has dual drive-thru lanes with a menu including iced and hot coffee, shakes, smoothies, energy drinks, teas and Italian sodas. Prices range $2-$7. Sebald said the franchise group aims to open two additional stores in Springfield before year’s end. 7 Brew currently has 81 locations in 17 states.
