Old Missouri Bank hires new CFO

Old Missouri Bank hired 16-year financial industry veteran Jeffrey Palmer as its chief financial officer.

Palmer, who also carries the executive vice president title, started last month, according to a news release. Old Missouri Bank spokesman Karl Brown said Palmer succeeds David McBeath, who is in the process of retiring but will maintain a board seat at the company.

The transition will be complete in spring 2020, Brown added.

Palmer comes to Old Missouri Bank from Stockmens Bank, where he was was Missouri president and board member since 2018, according to the release. He previously was CFO for Mountain Grove-based First Home Bank, which was purchased by Colorado Springs, Colorado-based Stockmens Bank in 2017, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.

Old Missouri Bank ranked No. 9 on SBJ’s 2019 list of the area’s largest banks and savings banks, with $387.5 million in Springfield metropolitan statistical area deposits. The list was published last month.
