Downtown Character

Architect and Design: In-house

A roughly 70-year-old downtown building with origins as an auto dealership is where Paragon Architecture relocated last year. The firm initially moved to College Street in March 2020, only to temporarily vacate two weeks later amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff returned to the office in May 2020 to fully settle into their new surroundings, which include open studio space, numerous conference rooms and an outdoor patio for meetings, work and play. Energy-efficient touches, such as motion sensor lights and solar panels, were factored into the 10,000-square-foot building’s design, says Brad Erwin, president and principal architect.
