Banking and Finance
Katie Carlisle, an assistant vice president and operations manager at Central Bank of the Ozarks, earned the Accreditation Payments Risk Professional designation. One of 360 APRP professionals nationwide, she has worked for Central Bank since 2007 and became manager of the Business Banking Department in 2015.

Health Care
CoxHealth was recognized in the 2019 Healthcare’s Most Wired list by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. The award honors hospitals and ambulatory clinics that are adopting information technologies and strategies supporting improved patient care. CoxHealth was one of 421 recipients out of 16,000 participants in the national survey.

Samantha Wooldridge, a clinical coordinator for CoxHealth’s hyperbaric wound care clinics in Springfield and Branson, was honored with the Rising Star Award. Presented at the Baromedical Nurses Association Gulf Coast Chapter Conference in Dallas, the national award goes to two nurses who have been in hyperbaric nursing less than five years and have demonstrated leadership qualities. Wooldridge has worked for CoxHealth since 2015.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield honored Burrell Behavioral Health with the Key Community Partner Honor Award. It recognizes Burrell’s work to bring mental health services to local youth by identifying mental health needs and connecting club members with initial services and resources.

Jordan Valley Community Health Center was awarded $300,000 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration for an expansion of access to oral health care. The grant will fund new exam rooms and dental chairs in the center’s pediatrics and women’s health units. A total of $85 million was dispersed to 298 health centers nationally.

CoxHealth promoted Ron Prenger to executive vice president and chief operating officer from senior vice president and chief hospital officer. He is succeeded by Karen Kramer, who formerly was vice president and system chief nursing officer. The hospital also promoted Amanda Hedgpeth to vice president of hospital operations from vice president of clinical services. The promotions are effective January 2020.

CoxHealth hired Ashley Kimberling Casad as vice president of clinical services for the Springfield Hospital Group. She most recently worked as an assistant administrator for neurosciences at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Municipal
The Missouri Public Utility Alliance honored City Utilities of Springfield General Manager Scott Miller with the John “Tom” Tinsley Distinguished Service Award. The award is the association’s highest honor for demonstrating leadership and service to municipal utilities. Miller has been the general manager of CU since 2011 and plans to retire by year’s end.

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce hired Laurie Soulsby as membership development specialist and Natalie Good as membership development coordinator. Soulsby most recently served as senior development officer for the CoxHealth Foundation and has a background in nonprofit leadership and fundraising. Good previously worked as a sales manager for State Farm Insurance Agency.

Nonprofit
Ozarks Food Harvest Inc. received its eighth consecutive four-star rating from nonprofit evaluator Charity Navigator. The rating is based on an organization’s financial health, accountability and transparency. Out of 9,000 nonprofits evaluated by Charity Navigator, only 4% have received eight or more consecutive four-star evaluations, the highest rating given.

Recreation
Twin Oaks Country Club promoted Michelle Graham to office manager. She spent six years in office administration, primarily handling accounts payable.
