Accounting
BKD LLP promoted Tim Klassen and Jansen Otterness to directors. Klassen has 18 years of experience providing audit services for nonprofit, public sector and utility entities, community health centers and manufacturing and distribution clients. Otterness works with federally qualified health centers nationwide with audit and consulting services.

Banking and Finance
Commerce Bank added Adam Reichert as vice president and commercial relationship manager. He has a bachelor’s in business administration from Drury University and an MBA from Iowa State University.

Health Care
Modern Healthcare magazine ranked Cox Monett Hospital as No. 15 on its 2019 Best Places to Work in Helath Care. Its second consecutive year on the list, the CoxHealth hospital moved up from No. 39 in 2018. Cox Monett was the only critical access hospital in Missouri and one of two hospitals in the state named to the list.

Citizens Memorial Hospital added Kaylee Ankrom to its medical staff at the Butterfield Park Medical Center in Bolivar. With a bachelor’s in nursing from Southwest Baptist University and a master’s in nursing from Walden University-Minneapolis, she treats patients with sudden illnesses or injuries, allergies, chronic conditions, minor burns and lacerations, fractures and sprains.

Municipal
The Missouri Municipal League elected Battlefield Mayor Debra Hickey as president. She has served on the MML Board of Directors and committees, including the Municipal Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Policy Committee and the MML Resolutions Committee. Hickey, who works as a school police officer for Springfield Public Schools, has been mayor since 2014.

Nonprofit
United Way of the Ozarks added Marti Cashel as vice president of finance and chief operating officer. She has 38 years of accounting experience, most recently as a controller and payroll and human resources administrator at Fiocchi of America Inc. in Ozark. Cashel handles financial stewardship, legal compliance, contract management, and risk and privacy management for United Way, as well as overseeing the donor database, information services, human resources and facilities management.

Real Estate
Missouri Realtors named AMax Real Estate agent Stephen Phillips as recipient of the Brady Stevens Award, named after a longtime Joplin real estate agent. The award goes to an outstanding graduate of the Realtor Institute.

Tammie Tucker, a real estate agent with A.R. Wilson Inc., was named Missouri Realtors 2019 Realtor Salesperson of the Year, recognizing advanced education and professional designations, community service and sales volume. With 30 years of industry experience, she served as Greater Springfield Board of Realtors president in 2011 and currently is chair of its strategic planning committee.

Retail
The Spa Gallery was named Artesian Spas’ 2019 Territory Dealer of the Year for customer satisfaction, sales, product knowledge and service. The Spa Gallery was recognized in the Midwest region for exceeding expectations in the hot tub and swim spa categories.

Tourism
Big Cedar Lodge was named as Golf Magazine’s top family resort in North America in its Top 100 Resorts 2019-20 issue. The inaugural list was compiled by the magazine’s editors, course raters and readers who evaluated hundreds of resorts. The resort also was named by Golfweek magazine as the Best Public Course in Missouri.
