Republic High School teacher Stacey Buck was one of 20 teachers recognized in CableAmerica’s A Stronger Connection social media campaign for making a difference in their communities. She received $1,500 with the teacher appreciation award.

Health Care
Sarah Geltmacher joined Citizens Memorial Hospital as a family nurse practitioner at the Willard Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic. She has nine years of nursing experience and the past two years worked as a family nurse practitioner at clinics in Branson and Aurora. Geltmacher holds a bachelor’s in nursing from University of Saint Mary in Kansas and a master’s in nursing from South University in Georgia.

CMH added Hannah Schumann Ashlock as a physician assistant at its endocrinology center in Bolivar. She holds a bachelor’s in exercise and movement science from Missouri State University and a master’s in physician assistant studies from Wichita State University.

The University of Missouri Extension presented CMH with the first Recovery Friendly Workplace designation in Missouri. Through the process with Recovery Friendly Missouri, CMH staff completed training, planning and declaring to staff the organization’s support for employees in addiction recovery.

Insurance
Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance employee benefits adviser Jeff Kennedy was selected as president of the Missouri Association of Health Underwriters Board of Directors. The Washington, D.C.-based group nationally represents over 100,000 professional health insurance agents and brokers.

Law
Carnahan Evans PC hired attorney William W. Francis Jr. as senior counsel. He is a retired judge, who served 12 years on the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Southern District and previously practiced law for 32 years in civil trial work and workers’ compensation cases for multiple firms. Francis holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia and now practices in mediation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

Marketing
Whysdom named Kristy Nelson as president and Sterling Q. Huff as chief data officer. Nelson joined the digital marketing and research firm in 2021 and has worked 20 years in marketing leadership positions. On board since 2018, Huff has worked with the insights team in data analysis and software development, as well as client campaigns.

Nonprofit
Ozarks Food Harvest added Arvest Bank-Springfield President and CEO Jason England to its board of directors. He’s worked over 20 years for the bank. OFH also appointed Kenny Ross of Ross Construction Group as board president and earlier this year added board members Jim Admire, plant operations manager for Kraft-Heinz; Genevieve Carvel, controller of Positronic Industries; Holly Gray, partner and financial planner for Heim, Young & Associates; and Ashley Kimberling-Casad, vice president of clinical services at CoxHealth.
