BKD LLP hired Christine Daues as regional marketing director for its national advisory services, Angela McLaughlin as a member of its accounting outsourcing services group and Stephanie Moser as a senior manager for its national nonprofit, higher education and governmental group. Daues, who previously worked as marketing strategy manager for Paul Mueller Co. and has 18 years of broadcast journalism experience, leads the marketing team over seven practice units. She holds a bachelor’s in communications and journalism from Ohio University. With 10 years’ experience with Expedia, McLaughlin assesses BKD client accounting systems and business functions and makes recommendations for improvement. She holds a master’s in accounting from Missouri State University. Moser most recently served as controller and financial services director for Drury University and previously worked eight years at BKD. She provides audit and review services and holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Drury.

ADsmith Marketing and Advertising added Shauna Craig and Hannah Kincade as administrative assistants. They support the account services and creative teams. Craig holds a bachelor’s in management from Webster University, and Kincade holds a bachelor’s in public relations from MSU. She previously worked at the Springfield Art Museum as a marketing and development intern.

Devon Gengler joined Hood-Rich Inc. as an architect. With nine years of experience in architectural work, she holds a master’s in architecture from Drury.

Banking & Finance
Guaranty Bank promoted Ryan Bowling to assistant vice president, marketing communications officer. He has 17 years of marketing and communications experience, including as a journalist with the Christian County Headliner News, and joined the bank in 2014 as an online marketing specialist. Bowling holds a bachelor’ in journalism and writing from Drury.

Russell Cellular Inc. made five executive promotions. The Verizon retail agent moved Jeven Russell to co-president from vice president of operations, Layton Alsup to vice president of executive support, Daniel Hyder to chief sales officer, Nathan Mindeman to chief strategy officer and Kurt Reinhart to vice president of learning and development.

Mike O’Hare, sales manager for James River Ford in Ozark, received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a program of the U.S. Department of Defense. The award recognizes extraordinary support of an organization’s employees and their family members who serve in the National Guard and reserves. O’Hare was nominated by Army National Guard Sgt. Samuel McCahon when they both worked at Reliable BMW in Springfield.

Van Pelt & Van Pelt PC was ranked Tier I in the 2022 U.S. News Best Law Firms for family law in the Springfield area. The rankings are based on client and lawyer evaluations and a peer review.

Wampler & Passanise Law Office was named a Tier 1 firm for Criminal Defense: General Practice and DUI/DWI Defense and Tier 2 for Criminal Defense: White-Collar in Missouri by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. It’s the seventh consecutive recognition for the firm. Attorney Joseph Passanise was named to Best Lawyers in America 2022 for Criminal Defense: General Practice, Criminal Defense: White-Collar and DUI/DWI Defense, and Springfield Lawyer of the Year for Criminal Defense: White-Collar. He holds a Juris Doctor from Washburn University.
