KPM CPAs PC was one of 227 firms ranked in Forbes’ list of America’s Top Recommended Tax and Accounting Firms. Compiled from 1,800 survey responses, the firm was among six in Missouri and one of 90 companies listed for both tax and accounting services.

Compere Robinette CPAs promoted Benjamin Zachary to shareholder. He has worked as the firm’s tax manager for four years and has 10 years of public accounting experience.

Banking and Finance
Mid-Missouri Bank added Michael Miller and Justin Wagner to its board of directors. Miller is the chief operating officer and general counsel for the bank, along with president of Mid-Missouri Insurance Agency. Wagner is chief lending officer and with the bank since 2014.

Missouri Trust & Investment Co. hired Raymond Eddings as senior portfolio manager. He leads the investment management team and advises institutional retirement plans and individual clients on portfolio management, strategic and tactical asset allocation, and wealth management strategies. A certified financial planner and charted financial analyst, Eddings has 20 years of experience.

Education
Springfield Public Schools named Brenda Dennis as Study Alternative Center director, succeeding the retiring Justin Dickenson. Dennis is currently assistant principal at Emporia High School in Kansas. The change is effective July 1.

Missouri State University received the Community Engagement Classification from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. MSU is one of 359 colleges, and five in Missouri, as being committed to community engagement.

Gov. Mike Parson appointed Shanda Trautman to the State Technical College of Missouri Board of Regents. She is the senior vice president and chief digital officer for Old Missouri Bank.

Health Care
Delta Dental contributed $15,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks Inc. among its $1.5 million in support of outreach initiatives in 2019. The funds support the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Tooth Truck.

The Greene County Medical Society named Dr. Kayce Morton president. Morton specializes in hospital medicine for CoxHealth.

Manufacturing
Digital Monitoring Products Inc. promoted Michal Moss Early to executive director of corporate strategy. The position includes activities from her previous position of director of intellectual property, along with oversight of the human resources department.

Municipal
The Springfield-Greene County Library received an $8,018 technology grant from Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft. The library will use the funds to replace a 3D printer and add a laser engraver, vinyl cutter, two soldering stations, a film and slide scanner, and a video capture box in its maker space.

Two southwest Missouri transportation projects were among 10 named to The American Association of State Highway and Transportation. Officials selected Project Freeway: U.S. 60 Rogersville among 10 projects in its public outreach campaign. The campaign is designed to increase public awareness about benefits of transportation investment.

Retail
Pure & Clean LLC promoted Aaron Peace to production and project manager, and Tracy Curtis to administrative services manager. Peace’s role focuses on business development, after joining the company in 2017. Curtis assumes administrative duties previously held by Peace and has more than 20 years of experience in administrative support.

Technology
CellARide LLC was awarded Most Innovative Solution of 2020 for its My Car Recall text messaged-based concierge platform at Biz 417’s annual Excellence in Technology Awards.
