Guaranty Bank has promoted an existing leader in the company to president.

Becky Scorse, who has more than 25 years of commercial banking experience in Springfield and has served as Guaranty Bank's chief lending officer since 2014, has been appointed to president effective immediately, according to a news release issued this morning.

“Becky’s exceptional leadership and deep understanding of our market have been instrumental in Guaranty Bank’s growth and success,” CEO Monte McNew said in the release. “Her dedication to our team, culture and the communities we serve makes her the ideal choice to lead us into the future."

McNew had served as president in addition to his CEO role, said Erin Lawrence, Guaranty Bank vice president and director of marketing. The role previously was held by Shaun Burke, who died in April 2024.

Scorse is slated to continue her chief lending officer responsibilities as she takes on the president job. The release credits Scorse with leading a fourfold increase, to over $2 billion from $500 million, in assets as its lending head for the past decade.

Guaranty Bank is a subsidiary of Moline, Illinois-based QCR Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: QCRH), which reported a 10.8% increase in third-quarter profits to $27.8 million. Guaranty Bank's assets and deposits were $2.4 billion and $1.8 billion, respectively, as of Sept. 30.
