New President for Mid-Missouri Bank of Republic

Posted online

Mid-Missouri Bank in Republic announced Casey Pyle as its new president on September 19, 2019. Pyle began his career in banking working as a teller in college and has held numerous banking positions over the past 22 years, progressing to personal banker and eventually becoming a chief lender. While attending Missouri State University, Pyle completed two banking internships which accelerated his career.

Pyle stresses that his years of prior experience as a chief lender gives him the tools and know-how to be an effective leader in his new position as president of Mid-Missouri Bank in Republic. Pyle also has plans to encourage growth in Springfield and surrounding communities, specifically Republic. “I intend to stay involved in the Springfield business community through chamber of commerce activities, professional clubs, higher education, and other civic events.”

He says that several longtime Springfield connections have already expressed interest in business investment in Republic. “As I become more connected to the city of Republic, I will continue to be a resource that both existing and new contacts turn to for financial services.”

“Through developmental growth in both housing and business, Springfield and Republic are going to physically join together in the near future,” says Pyle. “Republic has much to gain from this growth as it encompasses more undeveloped land between the two cities. Our bankers will continue to be engaged with Republic business leaders and the city government so that we stay knowledgeable about banking opportunities in this area.”

“I have worked for banks as small as $250 million in assets and as large as $50 billion in assets,” says Pyle. “In my career, I have experienced Y2K, the bursting of the tech bubble, the great recession, and many years of economic prosperity. My experiences exposed me to many different types of managerial styles and organization models. I strive to use the best knowledge I’ve acquired from my broad experiences when managing my team. I am always learning and adapting as I’m faced with new experiences.”

“I strive to be clear in my communications and punctual with my work,” he says. “If I don’t understand something, I am transparent in requesting clarification. People communicate differently, so I make sure I’m also being understood correctly.”

“Numbers are numbers; they are factual. Lending decisions and business management requires deeper awareness of underlying issues. I have worked with many wise bankers, and I believe that I’ve learned from their ability to gather relevant Information, discard irrelevant information, and make good investment decisions. Structuring a transaction that benefits both parties is another skill that I have learned from past managers.”
Mid-Missouri Bank will utilize its community bankers to provide appropriate products to continue prosperity in the area. Since Pyle joined the Republic Mid-Missouri Bank team, employees have been attending refresher training on loan programs that are economic development friendly. These programs include training on federal SBA guaranteed loans, USDA guaranteed business loans, and the Missouri Linked Deposit Loan Program.
