New Dunkin' restaurant coming to Springfield

A new Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins combination restaurant is in the works in Springfield.

Justin Williams, director of operations for franchisee Girish Patel, said the restaurant at 1614 S. Glenstone Ave. is slated to open in the first quarter of 2022. The site previously was home to Krave Seafood & Oyster Bar, a restaurant and venue that closed in 2019 after a fire. The building since has been demolished.

Williams said the franchise group purchased the former Krave lot in November for $600,000; Greene County recorder data show the seller was Toons Entertainment LLC. He said the total project cost is roughly $2 million.

The franchisee plans to hire 10 full-time and 30 part-time employees at the Dunkin’/Baskin-Robbins restaurant, Williams said.

Patel, through Bapa Network LLC, launched a Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins franchise at Republic’s Wildwood Plaza development in 2019, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.

Inspire Brands Inc. in December completed its $11.3 billion purchase of Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc., the parent company of Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins, according to the company's website.
