Radio host Kevin Howard has a new co-host for his morning show on 98.7 The Dove.
Howard this morning announced on KOLR that Chris Louzader has taken on the role left vacant in October. The appointment of Louzader, who's been filling in on the morning radio show, also was posted on The Dove's Facebook page.
"It's going to be really exciting. I can't believe it," Louzader said on KOLR, with Howard adding that "we're going to have a blast."
Steve Kraus, operations manager for 98.7 The Dove, said via Facebook Messenger that Louzader would start full time on Jan. 3. She joins the radio station from Opfer Communications Inc., where she's been a production manager for nearly eight years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
"In between now and then, she will help Opfer during the transition on a freelance basis," Kraus said, noting she will continue her part-time gig reviewing films through Box Office Buzz on KOLR.
Springfield Business Journal previously reported Howard's former co-host, Liz Delany, exited her employment with 98.7 The Dove and station owner Zimmer Communications in October.
In a public Facebook post that month, Delany alleged she "was put in a position by a superior where I felt bullied and intimidated."
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
