The fundraising arm of Missouri State University had a record year in fiscal 2024.
The MSU Foundation raised roughly $36 million for the fiscal year that ended June 30, beating the previous record of $32 million set in fiscal 2022, according to a news release.
“We celebrate this momentous achievement with the thousands of alumni and friends who care about the university. Their giving has and will continue to touch many lives in a positive way,” said Brent Dunn, executive director of the MSU Foundation, in the release.
Nearly 20,000 donors contributed during the fiscal year, with funding going toward capital projects such as the Judith Enyeart Reynolds Center for Arts and Humanities, Roy Blunt Hall and Smart University Advancement Center; faculty support; and student scholarships and programs.
The MSU Foundation has received more than $20 million annually for the past seven years, according to the release. The foundation has raised more than $454 million for MSU since it started in 1981.
Good Pizza Co. settled into a semipermanent home at Metro Eats; Trinity Electric Co. was acquired; and Cantrell Real Estate relocated.
