Missouri's general revenue collections ticked up slightly in the first half of the state's fiscal year, according to the latest released data.
The Missouri Office of Administration reported in a Jan. 3 news release that net general revenue collections for fiscal 2025 were up 0.1% to $6.14 billion through December, following the start of the fiscal year on July 1. That compares with $6.13 billion for the same six-month period of fiscal 2024.
Gross collections by tax type for fiscal 2025, year to date through December, are below:
• Individual income tax collections, the largest chunk of general revenue collections, increased 16.1% to $3.9 billion.
• Pass-through entity tax collections were down 71.6% to $184.5 million.
• Sales and use tax collections dropped 1.5% to $1.63 billion.
• Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections fell by 8.5% to $453 million.
• All other collections increased 6.9% to $464.1 million.
• Refunds were up by 7.3% to $488.8 million.
