Missouri bill would address food deserts

A bill currently in a Missouri House committee seeks to address food deserts.

House Bill 1411 would provide tax credits of up to $1,000 per year for individuals who incur expenses to establish an urban farm in a food desert.

The bill also would provide tax incentives for the reestablishment of full-service grocery stores.
