Posted online

Millwood Golf and Racquet Club was the top recipient in Greene County's latest American Rescue Plan Act funding round.

The Greene County Commission on Friday approved 69 awards totaling $785,017 in the third round of funding for small businesses, according to a news release. To date, the commission has awarded roughly $1.9 million to small businesses.

“The commission believes that our small businesses are the foundation of our community’s economy,” Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon said in the release. “They employ our citizens and pay taxes, which fund vital services. It made sense to make small business relief a cornerstone of our recovery efforts.”

Millwood Golf and Racquet Club was selected to receive $34,250. Other businesses above the $20,000 level are General Rental Center, at $31,250; Big Pixl LLC, at $25,500; Event Services Group LLC, at $23,500; and Campaignium LLC, at $21,750. Through its ARPA allocation, the commission has set aside $20.4 million for collaboration projects, $12 million for nonprofits, $10.2 million for countywide projects and $8 million for small businesses, with the remainder being held in reserves, according to past reporting.
