Small businesses are the workhorse of the economy. Nationwide, they have generated 2 out of 3 net new jobs since the turn of the century, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. And they account for 44$ of U.S. economic activity.

This section features five Springfield-area small businesses. Their owners produce items ranging from graphic T-Shirts to spicy salsa, but all of these concepts are all driven by entrepreneurial passion.
