Brad Brotherton, a BKD LLP partner working out of the firm's Springfield headquarters, was promoted to a new leadership role.
Brotherton started June 1 as the accounting firm's first regulatory and reimbursement consulting practice leader, a role within the BKD National Health Care Group, according to a news release issued yesterday.
“I look forward to working more closely with our health care reimbursement and regulatory clients and especially the numerous dedicated and passionate reimbursement professionals across BKD who have a depth of technical Medicare and Medicaid expertise to help providers with their needs and challenges," he said in the release.
In his new position, Brotherton oversees around 100 employees, said BKD spokesperson Anna Larriu. The firm’s regulatory and reimbursement consulting practice currently has an estimated 2,000 clients, she added.
Brotherton has worked at BKD for 23 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The firm's regulatory and reimbursement practice offers consulting services for bad debt reimbursement, Medicare wage index assistance and outsourced reimbursement aid, according to the release.
