Life360 Community Services hits 10M meals served to children

Posted online

Springfield-based nonprofit Life360 Community Services is nearing the 10 million mark for meals served to school children.

The benchmark is expected to be hit March 25, according to a news release. Through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, LCS provides so-called super snacks – a five-component meal – to students at 122 schools in Missouri and Arkansas.

“I am so proud of our team for staying diligent while helping kids in need these past few years,” said Jeremy Hahn, LCS executive vice president, in the release. “I am constantly amazed hearing from teachers and counselors about the improvement an after-school meal makes in the lives of kids.”

LCS began offering the services at no cost to schools or districts in 2016. The nonprofit is dedicated to serving 25,000 kids daily with after-school meals.

A division of Life360 Church, LCS also has a goal of getting operations up and running in three Michigan communities by August 2023, according to the release.
