The law firm of Rooney McBride & Smith LLC is tripling its space in a relocation to the top floor of KPM CPAs PC’s headquarters.

Heather Rooney McBride, managing member at the law firm, said an Oct. 7 move date is planned to 1445 E. Republic Road, Ste. 300.

Grindstone Construction LLC is wrapping up infill work for the space designed by Arkifex Studios LLC, McBride said via email. She said Rooney McBride & Smith would take on about two-thirds of the third floor in the KPM building. A listing at BillBeall.com indicates Suite 300 spans nearly 8,000 square feet.

McBride, who recently was named among Springfield Business Journal’s 2019 class of Trusted Advisers, said her 18-employee company entered a 10-year lease for undisclosed terms. Infill costs should amount to $450,000, she said.

Rooney McBride & Smith, which opened in 2011, provides legal services covering appeals, domestic and family, employment and real estate law, among other areas, according to its website. The firm has operated since 2012 at 4905 S. National Ave., Ste. A-100, in Iron Bridge Corners, McBride said.

KPM’s $6 million, 50,000-square-foot building was built in 2014, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
