KC domestic violence shelter workers become first in state to unionize

Workers at the Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City have become the first domestic violence shelter employees to unionize in Missouri.

The vote was 27-18 in favor of joining Laborers Local 955.

The unionization effort reportedly was met with resistance by management of the Rose Brooks Center.
