The Joplin School District is adding a new mental health support program for employees starting in October.
Developed through the district’s Health Plan Advisory Committee in partnership with Barker Phillips Jackson Inc., the plan was approved by the school board last month.
It will provide employees and their dependents with six free visits to a mental health care provider for each event, such as a depressive episode, troubles in one’s marriage or financial difficulties.
