Indonesia's Garuda cancels $4.9B order for 737 Max

Indonesian airline Garuda announced Friday it's canceling a $4.9 billion order for Boeing's 737 Max 8 passenger jet.

The airline in 2014 ordered 50 of the planes.

"Our passengers have lost confidence to fly with the Max 8," Garuda spokesperson Ikhsan Rosan told CNN.

The jets have been involved in two deadly crashes in the past five months.
