An outdoor gear retailer with local mountain biking roots is set to open a store next week at Brentwood Center North.
Howler Co., an extension of Howler Bike Park in Walnut Shade, has set a Nov. 20-21 grand opening at 2714 S. Glenstone Ave., according to a news release.
"The new store represents Howler’s commitment to the outdoor lifestyle community," said Max Penny, founder of Howler Bike Park, in the release. "Shoppers can expect top offerings in hiking and trail running shoes and apparel, high- quality clothing from top brands, as well as camping gear good for car camping to backpacking.
A property listing from Brentwood Center owner Jared Commercial shows Howler Co. has leased space between Gloss Nail Lounge and Blackwells. The space formerly housed Simply Mac, an Apple product retailer that reportedly closed down. Past reporting indicates the space is 2,225 square feet.
Howler Bike Park, spanning 200 acres, opened last year at 3410 U.S. Highway 65 in Walnut Shade, according to past reporting.
