Project description: An indoor amusement park designed as an upside-down house is expected to be completed this spring in Branson. WonderWorks, a science-based attraction, is being built at the former site of the Baldknobbers Theatre. WonderWorks will offer STEM-based, hands-on exhibits, including zero-gravity astronaut training, 71 mph hurricane-force winds and a room to create large bubbles, according to the WonderWorks Branson website. Janine Vaccarello, chief operating officer of WonderWorks, said in an email the park also will include activities centered around Branson’s history. The 21-year-old concept started in Orlando, Florida, and the company has five other locations, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
