Project description: In December 2018, Wilson Logistics announced a plan to construct a multimillion-dollar terminal on 100 acres off Interstate 44 in Strafford. Plans called for a $7 million-$8 million development that would include two phases: a two-story corporate headquarters featuring a driver training area, followed by a truck plaza. A summer 2020 opening was anticipated, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting. Though COVID-19 delayed the project, Wilson Logistics owner Darrel Wilson said the administration building is coming to fruition, and an opening is set for Memorial Day. The truck plaza is just now in the design stage, and work should begin soon, said Wilson. The administration building will house trucking-related services, accounting, operations and driver training, Wilson said. “It’s going to have a black granite front to it that we hope will be special,” he said.
