Project description: The Courageous Church is growing its footprint with the addition of a new East Campus, made possible through a merger with the former Eastern Gate Free Will Baptist Church, according to Courageous Church officials, who said Eastern Gate gifted its 6,300-square-foot building and 5.25 acres of land for the project. The existing structure is home to ministry team offices as the new church building rises on the site. Officials say the church’s vision calls for five campuses – one each in north, south, east and west Springfield and one in Christian County – and the East Campus is slated to serve as the ministry’s primary broadcast hub. At present, there are two locations, a north church at 2848 N. Broadway Ave. and a south church at 4900 S. Farm Road 189, Rogersville, according to the ministry’s website.
