Project description: Springfield’s first Take 5 Oil Change is nearing completion near the intersection of North Glenstone Avenue and East Kearney Street. Take 5 allows customers to remain inside their car after they drive into one of the three bays for an oil change. The Metairie, Louisiana-based company specializes in the 10-minute oil change, but it also changes air filters and windshield wipers. The store, the chain’s sixth in the Show-Me State, is on property leased from developer Brad Thessing, who has helped bring significant changes in this entryway to the city. Thessing also leases land to Kum & Go, immediately north of Take 5, and is bringing restaurant tenants to the site of the former Springfield Inn, just across Glenstone Avenue from the oil change provider.
Springfield-based Ozarks Elder Law expanded its footprint in Nixa; Skin Wax Ink changed its location and name; and food truck The Deck Pizza Co. opened.
