Project description: At the northeast corner of Highway FF and Republic Road, two apartment buildings comprising 158 units are under development by business partners Jeffrey Boyce, Mike Reynolds and Nathan Reynolds. The complex is Boyce’s fourth to build in Springfield, and he said he chose this site because of its access to James River Freeway a mile north. The designs call for one- to three-bedroom units and each building with its own community space, said Mitch Richardson, project manager for contractor JSB Investments, via email. One features a kitchenette and double-sided fireplace, he said, and the other is a movie theater. The developers say tenants also will have access to an outdoor pool and dog park, in addition to planned pickleball courts, covered parking, single-car garages and a tornado shelter. Six employees will be hired at the complex, Richardson said.
