Project description: Phoenix, Ariz.-based PetSmart Inc. is opening a second Springfield store. Building adjacent to the newly relocated Party City at developer Scott Tillman’s South Creek Crossing, the PetSmart would take over the remaining Campbell frontage on the 8.1-acre parcel, said Todd Chambers of Chambers Real Estate Services LLC, who represented Tillman in the deal. Tillman said PetSmart signed a long-term building lease for undisclosed terms. PetSmart spokeswoman Melissa Wenzel said new stores typically employ 16 to 20. The company operates over 1,400 stores, including the 3500 S. Glenstone Ave. store in Primrose Marketplace.
