Project description: Following construction of Mercy clinics in Ozark and Bolivar, which is still underway, Springfield businessman Doug Pitt is working with the St. Louis-based health system on another local clinic. It’s actually his eighth Mercy project developed in Missouri and Kansas since 2016. The latest replaces an adjacent Mercy office in southwest Springfield. It’s designed with 30 exam rooms and space for up to 10 health care providers. Emery Sapp & Sons handled the site work, and three homes were demolished at the southwest corner of Republic Road and Scenic Avenue to make way for the clinic. Pitt told Springfield Business Journal in November 2018 he had contracts to start two more Mercy clinics this year in the St. Louis area.
