Project description: Eight townhomes are being erected across the street from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. The Maple Tree Townhomes project consists of two buildings that hold four units apiece. Each unit has three bedrooms, two and a half baths and a two-car garage, said Betsy Berry of developer T3B. She hopes to attract young professionals to the rentals, which she said will have granite countertops, soft-close cabinets and plank flooring throughout. She said she and husband Tony have retired from education and decided to try a new career with their real estate venture. The design and engineering work for the development were commissioned by her father, the late Bolivar-area developer David Cribbs, in 2008 and were then resurrected and adapted by the Berrys. Berry said rental rates have not yet been established, as they are dependent on construction costs. “Bolivar’s growing, and we hope we can get some great tenants in there,” she said. “We’re looking forward to seeing it all come together.”
