Project description: Kum & Go is adding its 35th convenience store and gas station in the city. Located on the northeast corner of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, it will feature the company’s Marketplace design – its biggest store format with expanded prepared food options and an outdoor patio, said company spokesperson Ariel Rubin. It joins two others on Glenstone Avenue, with 46 total stores in the five-county metropolitan area. The company has invested more than $140 million in local stores since 2012, Rubin previously told the Springfield Business Journal. A portion of the Tower Grove Shopping Center was demolished to make way for the store, as well as a stand-alone building that housed ST Motorsports, according to past reporting.
