Project description: The Holland Park Apartments, a trio of three-story buildings taking shape in south-central Springfield, are a history-making project, according to developer Valiant Group, which believes they are the first structures to be built on stilts within a floodplain in the Springfield area. The buildings – each designed to encompass 16,000 square feet – are meant to integrate with the South Creek Greenway Trail, which passes nearby. One of the three buildings is already substantially complete, with footings in place for the second. The Valiant Group website states that the company aims to transform overlooked spaces into high-quality commercial and residential assets that enhance their surroundings. It adds that this set of buildings is designed to include 36 units for young professionals to reside within a gated community that includes a dog park.
