Project description: Republic residents may one day reminisce about lazy country drives along Brookline Avenue, but the route, also known as State Highway MM, has been jumping since the Amazon fulfillment center and the Convoy of Hope World Distribution Center arrived in 2021. To serve the burgeoning workforce, Magers Management Co. I LP is completing work on a building that will house an Eagle Stop convenience store, to be owned and operated by Gier Oil Co., according to Shannon Handwerker, vice president of operations for Magers. The convenience store is partnering with Godfather’s Pizza to complement the city’s food offerings, and it also carries its own brand, On the Fly Market, with breakfast items and deli sandwiches. Drink offerings include fresh-ground coffee, both hot and iced, and a patio offers outdoor seating, said Jenna Gier, vice president of Gier Oil. The Eagle Stop website notes there are more than 50 locations in Missouri. Eagle Stop is owned by Springfield-based Gier Oil
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
