Project description: This is the second project this year for Bapa Network LLC, which opened a Dunkin’ in Old Town Shopping Center in April. The Glenstone Avenue location, on the site of the former Krave Seafood & Oyster Bar, adds Baskin-Robbins ice cream to the mix. While the Old Town location is drive-thru only, the Glenstone Avenue store will have indoor seating, plus a display of its many traditional flavors, along with vegan, dairy-free, sherbets and ices. Franchisee Girish Patel of Bapa Network previously told Springfield Business Journal a six-month delay in the permitting process stretched the construction timeline. Plans are to hire 10 full-time and 30 part-time workers. Both Dunkin and Baskin-Robbins are owned by Inspire Brands, which purchased Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. in 2020 and also owns Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s and Sonic. This will be the third Dunkin’ and first Baskin-Robbins location in Springfield, though there is a Bapa-owned combined shop on U.S. Route 60 in Republic.
