Project description: West Plains-based developer The Overland Group is bringing another Dollar General store to Springfield. When construction is complete, it will be the discount chain’s 14th store in the Queen City. It’s designed with 7,300 square feet of retail space for such products as home cleaning supplies, housewares, health and beauty products, and packaged foods, said Mary Kathryn Colbert, a spokeswoman for Tennessee-based Dollar General. The Overland Group and Colbert declined to disclose the construction cost, but a building permit on file with the city lists the project’s declared valuation at $600,000.
