Project description: Residents of Republic are getting a lot more dining options to choose from, with recent openings of Whataburger, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Dunkin’ and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen. Joining their ranks in the spring on the city’s main strip, U.S. Highway 60, will be Culver’s. Featuring indoor and patio dining and two drive-thru lanes, Culver’s serves up ButterBurgers – according to the company website, a never-frozen beef patty that is seared and served on a buttered and toasted bun – as well as flavor-of-the-day frozen custard, to which customers can add more than 30 mix-ins and toppings. Chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries and cheese curds are other specialties of the franchise, which is based in Wisconsin and has more than 800 restaurants in 25 states, according to a news release from the company.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
