Project description: As part of a $37 million clinic investment in the area, CoxHealth is building a “super clinic” at Battlefield Road and U.S. Highway 65. Super clinic facilities include multiple types of health care, with the Springfield location slated to offer urgent care, primary care, physical therapy, on-site radiology and lab services, said CoxHealth spokesperson Kaitlyn McConnell. The clinic represents the third CoxHealth urgent care in Springfield, according to the company’s website. The existing Medical Mile clinic on South National Avenue will relocate to the new facility, McConnell said. CoxHealth opened super clinics in Nixa and Ozark in the last year, and another is under construction in Republic, scheduled to open this fall. The organization also opened a $42 million hospital in Monett last year, according to past reporting.
