Project description: Blue Iguana Car Wash is adding its third car wash in Springfield, following new construction last year on South Campbell Avenue. Owner Greg Byler said the latest facility, near the West Bypass and Chestnut Expressway intersection, is similar in design, with features including under-body ceramic wax in a process that takes three minutes and vacuums for wash customers. The company started in Springfield in 2013, when Byler bought a bankrupt car wash at 1640 E. Sunshine St. and remodeled it. He operated additional locations in the St. Louis area until December 2020, when they were sold to Zips Car Wash, according to a news release.
